What is a
Deeptalk Meetup?

DeepTalk is a place that helps people meet one another through deep and meaningful conversations. During each meetup, you'll be paired with different people and guided through a curated conversation menu. As you switch partners throughout the meetup, you'll have the chance to connect with several new people.

FAQ

Questions?
Answers.

If you're new to DeepTalk or thinking about joining your first meetup, this section will help you understand how it works.

Showing all questions
Can I come alone?

Absolutely. In fact, most people do. Many arrive not knowing anyone—and leave wondering why they were ever nervous in the first place.

Is it safe?

Yes. All DeepTalk meetups are hosted in public places, such as cafés and public libraries, where there are always other people around.

We also strive to create a warm, respectful environment where everyone is expected to treat one another with kindness. Your comfort and safety are important to us.

What kind of questions will we talk about?

The questions are designed to help conversations flow naturally. Some are light and fun, while others invite reflection or storytelling. Nothing feels like an interview, and there's never a right answer.

Here are a few examples:

  • Who in your family influenced you the most growing up? In what ways?
  • Finish this sentence honestly: “The part of me that I hope someone will understand is...”
  • What's something you became less afraid of as you got older?
  • If you had to choose 3 people you wish you had more time with, who would they be?
  • When did you last cry in front of another person? By yourself?
  • What's your favorite movie? Why?
How does the meetup actually work?

We'll pair you with someone and guide you through a curated conversation menu. After a while, you'll switch partners and continue with someone new, giving you the chance to connect with several people in a single meetup.

What if I'm shy or not good at conversations?

You're exactly the kind of person DeepTalk was designed for. You don't need to be outgoing or know what to say—the questions help break the ice and keep the conversation flowing naturally.

How many people usually attend?

We intentionally keep our meetups small—usually around 4–8 people—so everyone has the chance to be heard and no one gets lost in the crowd.

Do I need to prepare or bring anything?

Nothing at all. Just bring yourself and an open mind. We'll take care of the conversation prompts.

What if I don't want to answer a question?

That's completely okay. You can always skip a question or share only what feels comfortable. There's never any pressure to open up more than you'd like.

Will I be talking one-on-one or in groups?

A bit of both. Most conversations happen one-on-one, and depending on the meetup, you may also chat in small groups of three or four. The goal is simply to make it easy and comfortable to connect.

What kind of people come to DeepTalk?

People from all walks of life. Some are new to the city, some are looking to make friends, and others simply enjoy meaningful conversations. The one thing they all have in common is curiosity.

Will I actually make friends?

We can't promise you'll meet your next best friend. But we can promise meaningful conversations—and many people leave having met someone they'd genuinely like to see again.
